Mothers Day 2015, Family, Fried Chicken and Flowers

8:54 PM

Mother's day is always filled with good intentions from our loved ones weather they turn out or not. But all that extra attention is still fun. I woke up to my nine and ten year old sons making me a beautiful breakfast of cold toast with half an inch thick of butter on top and peppery scrambled eggs. Needless to say I was still starving by the time we got to church. But the table was set with such care. With candles, flowers, place cards and even rolled up utensils with napkins. So sweet! When we got home we scarfed down some delicious fried chicken and I even got in a nap. It was amazing.

When it comes to flowers I just love getting them for any reason or occasion. Im one of those people that just can't leave my flowers in one place. I got these beautiful bouquet of flowers from Pro flowers for mothers day and they have traveled all over my house. They have been on the dining table to fancy up our dinner, in the kitchen to catch the morning light, on the porch while I read a book and on my night stand so that I could wake up to their cheerfulness.

I just had to share my love of getting flowers with some of the wonderful mothers in my life for this mothers day. My own mother passed away when I was just 16 but I have been fortunate enough to have had wonderful women throughout the years that have filled in some of those gaps one way or another. So I wanted to send flowers to some those women this mothers day to thank them for their unconditional motherly love they have shown me and to let them know how special they are to me.

Thank goodness for the miracle of texting because I was able to get some fun responses to my surprise flowers to these wonderful mothers.

Here is a little something about the mothers...

There is the Mother who had already fourteen kids and still found enough love left over for me. She checked on me almost daily after I lost my mother and always gave me permission to feel what I needed to feel. The mother I eventually came to live with my senior year and the mother who over fifteen years later still comes to visit me and my children.  She has traveled out of state many times to be there for me when my children were born and for other big family events.

There is the mother that I have the privilege to call my mother-in-law who always gives so much and never ask anything in return. The mother that makes the best grandma to my children because she make them each feel so special and loved.  My children do not fall short in the grandma department. That is one of the greatest gifts I have ever been given. She is also the mother who raised my loving  husband and gave him the foundation to be the husband and father he is today.

There is the mother of my mother-in-law and great grandmother to my children. The mother who is such a wonderful example of hard work and cheerfulness. She is always so positive and I have never heard her say a mean thing about anyone. She is always looking for the good and always up for a new adventure. My husband hopes to take her sky diving one day when he finally gets up the courage.

Just a little shout out to Pro flowers, you guys were so amazing to work with and all the flowers turned out beautifully. I will definitely be ordering more flowers in the future from you guys!

The flowers came in exceptional packaging and the flowers are on the young side so they last so much longer than anything Ive ever bought at a flower shop. There are so many fun bouquet options it's honestly hard to pick from. I just want them all!

Family, fried chicken and flowers, what more could a mom ask for on mothers day?! It was just an all around wonderful day. I am so blessed.
