8 Free Family Halloween Movies You Can Watch On Youtube!

I love Halloween!!! I think it's such a great holiday... taking the things we are afraid of and embracing it just seems therapeutic to me. Plus I have two boys who think all things gross are awesome.

So to start off and to help us get into the spooky spirit we like to have a Halloween Movie Marathon (As in watching 1 1/2 movies before falling asleep). And we found some haunting treasures right there for free on Youtube, and thought we should share it with you EMI readers too.

The Worst Witch:  This is a cute movie about a witches school and one witch who just cant seem to get anything right. My boys like this movie a lot. I thought it was fun to see Tim curry so young and got a kick out of some of the 80's special effects that I am sure was the latest thing back then.

Something Wicked This Way Comes: a 1983 film thats packed full of famous faces of actors in their early days! About two boys and their run in with one scary carnival that comes to town and one sinister Mr. Dark. Definitely entertaining and creepy!

Under Wraps: Three twelve-year-olds have a close encounter with a 3,000-year-old mummy and set the mummy free, but if they don't get him back to his resting place by midnight on Halloween, he'll turn into dust and lose his only chance of being reunited with his long-lost love. Silly and full of lots of laughs!

Lady In White:  This turned out to be a really great 80's movie. It completely reminds me of "Big" and "The Goonies" type style. Very entertaining and spooky. Parents beware, just like some of those 80 movies there are a handful of inappropriate language from two of the ten year old bullies in this film. I recommend this for older kids because its a little more gothic than the others. This film is totally worth your time though.

The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow:  This is my favorite one out of the lot even though its less than half an hour long, but it's a funny classic with a spooky ending the whole family will love.

Return To Oz: Whats more fitting for Halloween than a walking/talking jack o lantern? This strange take on the Wizard Of Oz world is so creative and just plain fun and whimsical.

Escape To Witch Mountain: I loved this movie and its sequel when I was a kid and dreamed about having cool alien powers. This original version is so much better than the modern one with the rock. You are in for a treat with this movie.

Tower Of Terror: Is a 1997 film based off of the famous disneyland ride and I am a big fan of the funny actor Steve Guttenberg from back in his "Three Men And A Baby" days. This movie is actually pretty good and makes for a fun family movie just in time for Halloween.
