Birthdays were always really big in our home growing up. We never had a lot of money but my mom would come up with elaborate parties, creative games, and fun decorations. My mom would also make us a special birthday breakfast were we got to pick anything we wanted and she would get up early and make it. Plus it was the one day a year where we could do no wrong. We could be a total brat if we wanted. But we never did take her up on this rule because we were having so much fun.
Ive caried on this tradition now that I have a family of my own. And my very loving husband also takes it upon himself to plan a very special birthday for me every year. Today he is making me a very special breakfast in bed. Afterwards we are taking our two boys picnicking and hiking to the Timpanogos caves here in Utah. They are just so incredible. I went once when I was a kid and always wanted to go back. After hiking the kids are going with my sister for the rest of the day and the hubby is going to take me to see "Eat, Pray, Love". Then we are off to my favorite part of the day... Eating fatning pasta at the Olive Garden! Oh Yeah!
I'm expecting to come home looking a bit like this...
Its gonna be AWESOME!
