$3 Wall Art Project

Ive been working on my office area in my bedroom lately. And I just finished  what I call "wordful wall art". I think they turned out great!

This is what I started with.
I found these not-so-cute frames at the dollar store a few years ago for a buck each. And I thought they had a lot of potential.

I first isolated the frames and sprayed painted them with about 4 coats of white spray paint. It also dries quickly. In about 20 minutes your ready to go.

Next I went online and looked up the definitions to the words I wanted to feature. Love, Strength and Wisdom. I used the definitions of the words to make a background paper.

Then I just cut them out to size.

This is how the background looks with the frame.

Next I used my dye cutter to cut out the word I need, to the size I want. Then I used a bit of glue to adhere the cutout to the background.

Now I just put the frame all back together with newly washed glass. I then went on to do the same process with the rest of the frames.

And there you go!
Stay tuned to see how my office space turns out when I'm all finished. I'll be posting before and after's.

What kind of project are you working on?

What a great, inexpensive idea! I've been looking for ways to fill up some of the empty wallspace that we have and what better way to do that than with words and their definitions? Thanks for posting a great step-by-step, too.

They are so cool. I love them. I'm trying to finish my crochet project. I don't have anything else really on my list project wise. This is inspiring me though. =) I love the dollar store.
